Everyone can be a Henry
The Government's controversial Home Information Pack Regulations have come into force today amid claims the law governing them will be unenforceable.
From today anyone putting a property with four or more bedrooms up for sale in England and Wales must compile one of the packs
Some Acts of Parliament grant ministers 'reformative powers', with future Statutory Instruments able to modify the Act of Parliament themselves; this capability is called 'Henry VIII powers' in reference to Henry VIII's powers to change statutes by letter patent.
It is patently obvious that Statutory Instrument 2007 No. 1667 will be unenforceable
I'm Henry the Eighth, I am
Henry the Eighth, I am, I am.
