Negative Equity

Nearly four million home owners are already in negative equity, according to a leading research firm GfK. Telegraph



Its calculation is derived from 60,000 interviews with home owners, asking when they bought their property, at what price, and with what mortgage. The company also asked whether the home loan was a repayment deal, or an interest-only mortgage.



Combining this information with data from the Halifax house price index, which shows pries have fallen 18 per cent from their peak, it has calculated that about 3.8 million people are paying their mortgage company more than their house is worth.

Sleaze watchdog rebukes Gordon Brown

Sleazy Brown has been rebuked by the sleaze watchdog for subletting his taxpayer-funded office space to Labour Party colleagues.

Today Lloyds Banking Group has warned that HBOS, the mortgage lender it took over last year, slumped to a loss of about £10bn last year as the recession hit all parts of its business.

So, in the light of the recent debacle at the Lindsey Oil Refinery should the British Government expel and then ban all workers from EU member states from entering Britain.

British Snow, No British Workers

A light dusting of snow has wreaked predictable chaos in Britain, with hundreds of trains delayed or cancelled, major airports are closed, motorways have slowed to a standstill and some of the busiest train services have been cancelled, hundreds of schools in southeast England have also been shut.after a few inches of February snow.

More snow is expected with a band of snow moveing up from Europe during the day which we know will bring further chaos.



London faces near shutdown as the entire fleet of London buses was suspended and parts of the Underground were knocked out by the conditions.

A spokesman for the Highways Agency said: "If your journey is not essential I would strongly advise you don't make it."

But don't worry folks, there are millions of European Union workers, experienced in moving around in snow, ready to move in and do your job
