Gordon Browns hopes of a fightback based on recovery from recession were dashed yesterday by a new MORI poll showing that economic confidence is surging back – but Labour is not reaping the benefit.
The Poll shows the Tories now on 43% of the vote – representing a 17-point lead over Labour on 26, with the Liberal Democrats on 17.

Leaked ministerial letters reveal. that Gordon Brown’s government decided it was “in the overwhelming interests of the United Kingdom” to make Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, the Lockerbie bomber, eligible for return to Libya.
The letters were sent two years ago by Jack Straw, the justice secretary, to Kenny MacAskill, his counterpart in Scotland, who has been widely criticised for taking the formal decision to permit Megrahi’s release. Times
Last weekend Lord Mandelson, the business secretary, said : “The idea that the British government and the Libyan government would sit down and somehow barter over the freedom or the life of this Libyan prisoner and make it form part of some business deal ... it’s not only wrong, it’s completely implausible and actually quite offensive.”

After the Irish peoples first attempt to reject the collectives asimilation, the Euroborg now view the Irish as the Jews of Europe...sort of Lepercohens.
However Dr Coughlan of The National Platform in an e-mail to Eureferendum blog thinks the second attempt to assimilate the Irish, scheduled for October 2, can be won.
Is resistance really futile?
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves".
Winston Churchill.

The Act of Devolution (Scotland Act 1998) clearly leaves foreign affairs with the British Government. Gordon Brown’s pathetic response to the Lockerbie bomber issue will do little to soothe the mounting tension between the United States of America and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
As this is clearly a foreign affairs issue, it is highly significant that Brown has refused to criticise the actions of Kenny MacAskill, the Scottish Justice Secretary.
Just where dose the real power in the UK lay?

Gordon Brown faces fresh questions tonight after it emerged that he discussed with Gaddafi the detailed conditions for the Lockerbie bomber's return nearly six weeks ago.
Downing Street released the text of a cordial letter sent to the Libyan leader on the day Abdulbaset al-Megrahi was released, asking that the event be kept low key as a "high-profile" ceremony would distress his victims and their families.
But critically the letter also refers to a meeting between Gordon Brown and Gaddafi six weeks ago at the G8 summit.

The Laborg is a collective of humanoids that have been assimilated by the Laborg Collective. These humanoids, called laborg drones, have various cybernetic implants embedded inside and outside their bodies. These implants connect all the drones to each other in a massive collective called the hive, which supresses each drone's individuality.

Alistair Darling, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, who claimed parliamentary expenses for a flat that he let to tenants while also claiming living allowances for his grace and favour home in Downing Street, is ready to legislate to curb City bonuses amid alleged mounting public anger about the return of huge rewards for bankers.
The Times is reporting that the chancellor has signaled that he will change the law to ensure executive bonuses are not paid to employees whose transactions put banks at risk.
That will be another useless unenforceable law from a useless incompetent government!

Lloyds TSB who acquired HBOS at the height of the financial storm last October, has today announced a £4 Billion loss in six months.
The newly created Lloyds Banking Group, which is 43 per cent owned by the taxpayer, reported more than a five-fold rise in bad debts to £13.4 billion.
Just remember, it was the Prime Minister who played the key role in brokering the Lloyds HBOS merger.

9 years ago, I remember very vividly sitting eating my evening meal when; all of a sudden I felt very hot, my skin began to tingle and my vision became tunnelled. In fact, I remember my peripheral vision darkening until there was just a pinhead of light and then the face of my farther came into view. At the time, I was with my own family; my farther wasn’t even there, he was 80 miles away. I can remember feeling quite faint but within a minuet I was feeling quite fine, as though nothing had happened and I just carried on with my meal.
At 6 am the following morning, I had a telephone call from my sister who was calling to tell me my farther had died during the night. I wont go into details but I had been estranged from my farther for 15 years and I was never made aware of what had, at the time, been recently diagnosed as a heart condition.
Anyway, that aside; I had never experianced that hot and tunnelled vision problem before or since. That is, until this evening………and this time the face was that of J. D. Salinger
What does this mean?
