Gordon Browns hopes of a fightback based on recovery from recession were dashed yesterday by a new MORI poll showing that economic confidence is surging back – but Labour is not reaping the benefit.
The Poll shows the Tories now on 43% of the vote – representing a 17-point lead over Labour on 26, with the Liberal Democrats on 17.
