Gentleman Jim remembered

It was 50 years ago today that Jim Reeves made a fatal error in the skies over Brentwood, Tennessee. He turned his small private aircraft into a violent storm instead of away from it. The aircraft stalled and crashed killing himself and friend/business manager/pianist and partner Dean Manuel.

Born James Travis Reeves on Aug. 20, 1923, in Galloway, Texas, not far from Carthage.
