Systemic Failure in the Banana Republic

The spectre of vote-rigging reared its ugly head today as Scotland Yard was brought in to investigate 'suspicious' activities across seven London boroughs.

MP George Galloway's Respect party said it had evidence of "widespread" electoral fraud involving postal voting in Tower Hamlets.



Meanwhile, A 50-year-old woman has been arrested by detectives who discovered a stockpile of postal voting forms at a house in Birmingham.

The Government were warned that Postal Voting would be a problem as long ago as 2002.
